A 1975 graduate of Nursing School in Ohio, Elli spent the first 13 years of her career in hospital Critical Care units in Ohio, Oregon, and then Spokane, Wa. In 1988 she moved to Arizona to help care for her husband's parents. Elli and Bill became foster parents for up to 5 medically-fragile children at a time, while also parenting their 3 biological children. By 1992 they had adopted 3 children and began looking for ways to care for more special kids. They opened their first group home in Mesa, Az, where the business continues today under new management.
Now, The Bogden Family is happy to bring their extensive experience to the Spokane area.
Bill graduated from the Ohio State University in 1975 and initially worked in Critical Care. He then became a Regional Manager for a Medical Rehabilitation Company in Portland, Oregon, and then Spokane. After moving to Arizona he began an Elderly Care Business while assisting his wife, Elli, to care for many children with special Healthcare Needs over the years.
Leah is Elli and Bill’s daughter and grew up in their blended family of biological, foster, and adopted children. She began working at The Bogden House as a Nursing Assistant in 1998. She provided foster care to medically fragile children in her home for 13 years. She now has 3 adopted children + 3 biological children.
